Many of the designers/artists which I have looked at in my blog have inspired me alot in this project and I am sure they will continue to inspire me throughout other projects in the future. In this project I was greatly inspired by Cartier Bresson and David Carson because I found that their work was similar to the work I wanted to produce for my booklet.
Cartier Bresson
I have choosen to look at Cariter Bresson because I love his work, especially his black and white photography. He has inspired me throughout this project because he seems to capture a whole story in one photograph and that is what I wanted to do with my booklet. I chose to do alot of photograpy in my booklet after looking at Bresson's work and I wanted to make my work look like quick snapshots which would give a feeling of the song which I was listening to at the time. I like this piece of work which I have choosen in particular because it shows a relationship and alot of my booklet is about relationships and emotions.

Futurist Typography
I really like futurist typography. This piece which I have used as a example is by Richard Lanham. Its called, 'Electronic Word' it is my favorite piece of futurist typography, I think its like a piece of work from cubism but using text only. I love the mixture and variety of fonts and lines used in this piece are really its as though the words are deconstructing themselves before our eyes.
Posy Simmonds
Although I'm not a big fan of comic strips I really like Posy Simmonds work I think it is playful and I think the illustrations are really quite different to the usual comic illustrations. I really like this piece in particular, it had a really cold feel to it and I think the colours really tell the story. I like the layout of this comic strip because it is different, its not just blocks of text and images its actually quite playful and entertaining. I really like Posy Simmonds's book illustrations too they are similar to the work of Janet Ahlberg who did the illustrations for the children's book, 'Burglar Bill'.
